This versatile, compact coffee machine sure does make a good first impression with its sleek, utilitarian design. While the ultimate purpose of any coffee machine is, after all, to make you coffee and this is the criteria on which the Gaggia Anima Deluxe Automatic Coffee Machine will be judged as well, looking good certainly doesn’t hurt. This coffee machine was inevitably going to be a highly visible part of my kitchen, so the fact that it looks so sleek adds a great deal of style to my overall design that I certainly didn’t mind at all.
Looks aside, the main question to be asking here is, does this coffee machine work? The answer to that is an unequivocal yes. Perhaps my favorite thing about the Gaggia Anima Deluxe is the fact that it has the ability to make so many different types of coffee! I’m an espresso drinker myself but my wife prefers frothier, milkier coffee, and this coffee machine allows us both to get what we need. Switching settings takes no time at all, allowing us to save precious minutes in the morning when both of us are in a real rush.
Pros and Cons
This coffee machine is great for offices or homes with lots of occupants like mine. I have a lot of kids, and now that they are all grown up they all want to have a nice cup of coffee to get them started in the morning. The sixty ounce water reservoir is a great feature this machine possesses, as it allows me to make up to fifteen cups of coffee all at once! This means that I can make a cup each for my family at breakfast and each of us can take a cup for the road too.
This is a pretty lightweight machine too which I certainly appreciated. Moving it around is an inevitability in a home like mine as we often redecorate and move things around (I blame my interior designer daughter for this!) and the fact that this machine is so light helps make moving it around and placing it wherever we need it to be very convenient.
Perhaps the thing I loved most about the Gaggia Anima Deluxe is how much power it saves. A lot of coffee machines require a ton of juice to work their magic, but this machine is a lot more efficient at conserving energy. The low energy functionality actually helped me save money, and I am pretty sure I am going to be saving up a lot more in the long run!
All in all, this machine gave me a brilliant experience that I would certainly recommend to anyone that wants a good coffee maker. Its versatility is a perfect part of its overall design, and even though the machine is quite light it’s sturdy as well. My youngest ended up dropping it a couple of times and it still works like a charm! I’d give Gaggia Anima Deluxe Automatic Coffee Machine full marks in every department.
